The family belonged to the Minneapolis Club, the Minikahda Club, and the Minneapolis Society of Fine Arts, and their summer residence reflected the grace of that era.

While the main house was removed in the 1950s, it made way for something equally bold: a French château-style home, custom-built around two imported 18th-century Parisian interiors. Designed with exacting detail, the château remains a landmark in its own right—but the original carriage house endures, quietly preserving the craftsmanship and spirit of the Decker era.
